About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do you qualify if your next country of travel doesn't require you to have a visa?

If I was to travel from the UK to Beijing, stay for 72 hours or less then travel to a country like Japan or Thailand where a pre ordered entry permit would not be required (as they would stamp my passport with a permit upon entry) would I qualify for the 72 hour free transit?

Yes, you still qualify for the 72-hour transit permit exemption policy.
