About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ
I am flying into Shanghai to embark on a cruise ship the next day. Does the 72 hour visa apply?

I’m afraid you cannot enjoy 72 hour policy because it only applies to those who fly in and out at certain airports to a third country or region.0
