i am from guatemala. can i apply for a china visa at los angeles consulate?

I do live in Guatemala, but as I have family in Los Angeles, it is much easier for me to apply at Los Angeles, instead of Costa Rica.   Is it possibly?

Luis, if you are able to provide valid resident permit or legal status in USA, then I think you can apply from the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles. However, I do suggest you contact the consulate first before you go there. Tel: 213-201-1765
