Are we qualified for the 72h transit visa exemption?

Hi,

we are two Finnish girls who will travel to Beijing for one day. We will take a flight from Osaka, to Beijing. Stay overnight in Beijing and check in on a new flight next day that will take us to Hanoi, Vietnam.
So, this is not an actual transit in the right meaning of the word... but can we still qualify for the 72h transit permit exemption? Does anyone know?

Hi Katherine,

you know? You have travelled like this yourself so you know what we should do? Can we just travel to China without doing anything in advance? I have tried calling to the Chinese Embassy and where we booked our flight but they dont answer...

Tanja, I didn't travel in this way. I just know 72 hours free transit policy. You can make use of this policy to visit Beijing without applying any entry permit in advance.
