tickets for fast train

Question

Hello!beginning next year very luckly I will move to work in Kunshan but I will live in Shanghai. The city are quite far away, but colleagues there said that with the fast train should be feasable.However I've been told that no monthly ticket is available and you need to buy every day a ticket for a specific train and cannot take a different one if you are late or early. Is it correct? I'm asking this question becasue if this is the case, I need to consider additional 10-15 minutes to estimate the time spent to go to work and come back home.Many thanks,Marco

For the everyday ticket, if you are late or early, you can still change it to other later or early ride at the counter. Also, maybe you can have a try for the rail pass. The online news said it support this route and you can just board by using the card everytime. The money will be charged automaticly from the card. Some online feedback said that this card is for sale at SH station south square counter No. 20 and hongqiao station counter No. 66. You may try to buy it by using your passport there. By the way, there are also some negative part as the card cannot guarantee a seat.

Thanks Kim for the reply.Where can I find more information regarding this rail pass? Is there a website in english I can have a look?No problem if I cannot find a seat, I can stand 15-20 minutes with no problem.Thanks in advance,Marco
