About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing airport 15 hours layover

Hi, between arrival from Europe 9.40AM and depart to New zealand 12PM we plan a guided day trip in Beijing (incl GreatWall, Forbidden city and Tianmen square). Do we have to apply for transit visa? Many thanks for advice.

No, you don’t need to apply for it. You are permitted to leave the airport and can do a little sightseeing.
