About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I get a 72 hr Visa if my flight leaving beijing has a layover in another part of china?

I am flying into Beijing from Korea and then departing 72 hours later but I have a layover in another part of PRC before I get to the Philippines. Am I qualified for the free transit?

Chels, by "another part of PRC", do you mean HK, Macau, Taiwan, or a mainland city? If it's HK, Macau, or Taiwan, you can still use the 72-hour free transit policy. If it's a mainland city, the 72-hour free transit does not apply to you.

Hi Alexander, my 3 hour layover is in Guangzhou. So even though my ticket shows I am traveling to Manila and the stop is just a connection, they won't allow me to get the free transit?

No, they won't give the free transit because the layover in Guangzhou disqualifies you for it.

Hi again,

By HK you mean Hong Kong, correct? I am trying to change my flight. Thanks!
