Student in HK applying for Chinese 'L' visa

Hi. I am a student studying at hku with an Indian passport. I have no particular reason other than go seeing my boyfriend in Shenzhen and then a couple of friends in tsinghua. I still have to apply for Chinese entry permit. Is it possible for me to get one and if possible then how do I get one? Thank you!

Hi Charlotte! You can apply for an L type entry permit from the Office of the Commissioner of PRC Foreign Affairs Ministry. First, ask your boyfriend to write you an invitation letter. Then, prepare all necessary documents, including you passport, a photocopy of the passport's info page, a completely filled application form attached with your recent passport style photo, the original and a photocopy of your HK ID, and the invitation letter. Next, go to the office and submit the documents.
