Business Trip without an inviting company

Hi, I will be visiting China for the first time. Our company in PRC is not yet established. I will go there to meet the potential staff that we may have. I am not sure if I can skip the invitation from a certain company from PRC. But we have a staff from Taiwan who will manage the office we will establish in PRC. Is it ok just to have his invitation and what other requirements do we need to prepare? Thank you very much in advance.

Yna, the invitation letter from the person in Taiwan cannot be used for the application. If you can't provide an invitation letter from mainland PRC indeed, you can apply for a tourist L type and enter as a tourist. In this way, you need to submit your passport, a photocopy of the passport's info page, a filled-out application form attached with a passport size photo, a financial standing proof, and round-trip tickets and hotel reservations.
