About:China Visa Exemption

Is a transit visa needed or get on arrival?

I'm a New Zealand citizen travelling from Georgia (country) to NZ, stopping 2x in China. Booked a complete flight with China Southern via Tbilisi - Urumqi - Guangzhou - Auckland.
Urumqi stop 7hr, Guangzhou stop 5hr. With travel time it is less than 24 hours from when I land in Urumqi to when I depart Guangzhou.
Not wanting to leave the airport(s).
Do I need to apply in advance for an entry permit, or can I get on arrival?

Gen, you qualify for the 24-hour direct transit policy, therefore, no visa is required.
