About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Tourist visa to China for German national

Hello. May I ask: for a tourist L type to PRC, what do I need to bring to the embassy to apply as a German national? Can I apply directly? How long does it take? Which documents/other materials do I have to bring? Can I download the necessary documents from your website?

Hi Alexander, you are in Japan now, right? According to the requirements posted on the webstie of the embassy in Japan, non-Japanese citizens can apply directly. However, someone said he was required to use an agency to do the application. So I think you should contact the consular office and find out the exact answer. The application process takes four working days in general. You need to take your passport, passport copy, filled-out application form, a recent photo attached on the first page of the application form, the original and photocopy of your stay permit or residence permit, and round-trip tickets and hotel booking records. You can download the necessary document from this website, I mean, the application form.
