Buying train tickets at the counter

Hi, is it possible to buy a train tickets to Mongolia (2 - 5 days ahead before departure) at the ticket counter at the train station?

Theoretically, you can certainly buy the tickets at the ticket counter of the railway station 2-5 days ahead. Actually, the booking can be made two months before departure. However, in case that tickets are sold out, it is suggested to book as early as possible
