About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do i need a transit visa???

I fly from Germany to Beijing. Between arrival at 11:55 am and my next flight to Pyongyang are 73 hours and 10 minutes. The "72-hour-free-transit" policy says that the 72 hours start counting at 0:00 am of the following day of the entry date, that i do not need a transit permit. Is this true?

thanks
K

Hi Karsten, the "72-hour period" is calculated in this way in other cities except Beijing. In Beijing, this period starts from the moment that you have finished all immigration affairs at the airport, so I think you had better apply for a transit permit in advance to play safe.
