About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Can i apply for a Chinese working Z type in the USA if i am an Australian entering on a B1/B2 visa?

Hello,

I am going to be going to the USA for a few months and ill need to apply for a PRC working Z type that needs to be completed before late January 2016. Ill be entering USA on a B1/B2 card. I will be starting a contract in Shanghai starting February 2016. How long does the working process take?

Jade, B1/B2 type is short-term one. Usually, those who don't have long term resident permits can not apply for long-term Chinese entry permit, like Z type. If possible, you should apply from Australia. If you don't have time, you might try to apply in US. But I can't guarantee that they will issue it to you.

Forgot to say, the processing time is four days.
