About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

Which California Consulate to choose?

I live in Sunnyvale (35 miles south of San Francisco) and consider myself living in Northern California yet when I look at the service map it looks like am served by the Southern California Consulate in Las Angeles. It obviously would be much easier to go to San Francisco. Can get my Visa in San Francisco?
Thank you, Bill
