Travelling from US to Nepal with Nepali passport and have 23 hrs layover in Hong Kong-visa required?

I work in US and carry Nepali passport. I am traveling to Nepal for my vacation via Cathay Pacific/Dragon Air. I read on several online forums that if you are traveling with Cathay Pacific/Dragon Air, you'd NOT need an entry permit. Some folks on the forums have mentioned the maximum allowed layover is 12 hours. I have a 23 hours transit - is that true that I won't have to hold an entry permit? What type do I need to apply for if I decide to stay at the airport? And, what type do I need to apply for if I decide to get out of the airport to the city tour for 15 hours?

Also, is form ID 1003B required if I have to apply for either transit or tourist entry permit?

SP, as far as I think, you had better apply for one entry permit beforehand, because you have 23hrs layover, which exceeds the 12-hour layover time limit. No matter you stay in the airport or go out of it, you need to apply for a transit type. If you don't have a sponsor, the form ID 1003B is not necessary.
