About:China Transit Visa

can malaysians leave the airport on transit

I am a malaysian. I have a 13 hour layover in Guangdong. I want to take a hotel near the airport. Will I be able to leave the airport without a visa .I am travelling from US and my luggage will have been checked in. I will also have my onward boarding pass

Yes, you can leave the airport. Just apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport, which is a stamp on your passport.
