About:Beijing Transportation Smart Card

Can I use the yikatong( metro card) to purchase bullet train ticket from Beijing to Xian?

or I have to use credit card to purchase bullet train ticket? for the fist class ticket is $825 CNY?

No, you cannot purchase the train tickets with the card, which can be only used on local public transportations.

I remember the payment with credit card is unacceptable, so prepare enough cash. And yes, the fare for the first class seat is CNY822.2 – 824.5.

2. also Credit Card (Visa) be used to purchase bullet train ticket at the West Rail Station?
3. where do you go to get the best exchange rate?

1 & 2. I heard the credit card payment is not accepted to buy Yikatong and train ticket. But if you book the train ticket through an agency, you can pay them with credit card online.
3. I suggest you go to the Bank of China, where u can usually get a reasonable exchange rate.
