Beijing to Qingdao schedule: Why do total trip times vary?

Looking at the schedule on this site, total travel time ranges from 4 hr. 38 min. to 5 hr. 1 minute.
Does it vary by train type?
What is the difference?

They are the same type but will have different stops and stop numbers so the time needed is different.
