About:Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

We're planning to go to Zhangjiajie from Indonesia

Which of the nearest city we should fly to? (preferably direct flight). And what the weather like in November - December?

1. Do you start from Djakarta?
If yes, there is no direct flight that can take you to ZZJ Airport.
You can take the flight to arrive at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport first. Then transfer the flight to arrive at the destination.

2. The previous weather data shows that it was 50 F to 60 F in November and 40 F to 50 F in December. It was cold during that period of time. There may be many sunny and cloudy days. You need to bring jacekts, overcoats, sweaters and pants.

Hi Tracy,

Thanks for replying, yes we would be flying from Jakarta...so the closest will be Guangzhou and then fly to zjj, do you know how long does it takes...can we do it by train or bus

I was visiting Mt.Huangshan mid November last year, i supposed the weather would be similar. And yes it's cold

Oh, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport isn't the closest one. It's the most convenient airport.
From Guangzhou to ZZJ, it takes around 2 hours on the way if by taking the plane.
And yes, you can go to ZZJ from Guangzhou Railway Station. The duration is 14 to 17 hours by train.

Yes, the weather is no big difference, just a little bit more humid.

You can fly to ChangSha and then get the train or bus to ZJJ.

AirAsia now have flight to Changsha from Kualalumpur. Cheaper and closer. I am from Jakarta and plan to go there in April next year..
