Visiting Shanghai at the conclusion of the 16-day cruise with 72-hour Visa-free Transit

I am a US citizen, will travel to Singapore to board a 16-day Princess Cruise. The final destination of the cruise is Shanghai. I plan to visit Shanghai for 2-3 days after the cruise then head back to USA. Can I take advantage of the 72-hour Free Transit while visiting Shanghai? Thanks for your input.

Sorry, you cannot take advantage of the 72-hour free transit service because you enter by cruise ship. If you want to enjoy this policy, you have to go in and out all by air.
