About:Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

We are planning to go from Xian to Zhangjiajie in two or three days.

What is the best way to get there?
We would like to Stay at the cheapest option of accomondation. Where should we Stay? Is it possible to camp somewhere in the area? And final question, is it worth to go to the national park Even though it will be many tourists this time of year ?

From Xian to ZJJ, there is no direct train, but there is a bus available at 16:00 in Shannxi Provincial Bus Station opposite the railway station. The bus fare is CNY353, and the travel time is about 10 – 11 hours.

If the bus duration is too long for you, I suggest you take a direct flight, which is a fast and convenient way.

I suggest you stay in the scenic area, where you can have easy access to many small inns or local dwellings, which would be the best choice for you. They are clean and cheap too. As I know, it is not allowed to camp inside the scenic area, so you may give up on that.

The national forest park is really worth your visit, for it is the highlight of Wulingyuan scenic area.
