should i buy tickets before leaving the us?

I will be traveling by rail (probably soft sleeper) Beijing to Xian then Xuzhou. I speak Chinese and can read rail schedules. Would I be better off buying my tickets before I leave for China, or wait until I get there? Tony

It depends on your date, if for holiday time, you'd better buy them in advance. Even it it not during holiday time, it would be better if you check the availability often.
