About:Gubeikou Great Wall

Hello. Is it possible to hike from gubeikou to simatai?

How long will it take?
Can it be done in one day, considering to leave Beijing in the early morning?

If this is not possible, are there any other hikes in the area of simatai or gubei that can be done in one day?

We are planning to go in the next few days,

Anita, you can hike from there to Jinshanling instead of Simatai. According to what I know, there are guards on the wall to stop visitors who go to Simatai from Jinshanling. The hike I referred to takes around 7 hours. Most people arrived in Gubeikou in the afternoon on the first day and then start to hike in the early morning next day.
