How much in English money will it cost for admission and an English speaking guide for the forbidden city beijing

Admission Fee:
April 1st – October 31st : CNY60 (￡6)
November 1st – March 31st : CNY40 (￡4)
For entrance to the Treasure Gallery or the Hall of Clocks, you need pay additional ticket at CNY10 (￡1) .

English Guide:
There are audio guide, and the fare is CNY40(￡4) .
If you want a personal English speaking tour guide, the fare is as below.
Central axis: 1 hour, CNY 200 (￡20)
Central axis and west route: 1.5 hours, CNY 300 (￡30)
Central axis, west route, and Treasure Gallery: 2.5 hours, CNY 400 (￡40)

Thank you Gary for that, do you think it's worth paying out for the guide?
I read somewhere few weeks ago if you want to see all apparently takes hours start at one end and get a lift back. How do you get a lift back?

Yes, English interpretation is necessary. Actually, the Audio guide is a good choice. You can visit according to your own pace.
I’m afraid there is no lift available. I had visited the palace once, and the whole tours was finished by walking.
