About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Traveler with Kazakhstan passport, 2 stops in China totalling 31 hours.

Hi, I'm in Taiwan and we have an intern here from Kazakhstan with a problem -- He bought a ticket on-line to fly Taipei - GuangZhou - Another China city (I forget, maybe it's KunMing) - Kazakhstan -- But his total time in China is ~31 hours ...

As I gather, he's not eligible for 24- or 72-hour Transit Visa -- Problem is, from here in Taiwan there's no easy way for a Kazakh passport holder to get a tourist type--

Any solution for this guy that does not involve buying another ticket? If he's able to get on the plane in Taiwan and gets to mainland China, and they notice he's over 24 hours, what will happen? Will they just slap a fine on him and send him on perhaps?

Many thanks for any assistance you can provide --

King, it's difficult to tell how the immigration officers deals with his matter. It's possible that he might be required to return to Taiwan. If he still has time, he might ask a travel agency and see if they can apply for him. I heard that it took around 3 weeks. Or he can go to Macau directly and apply one there and then get back to Taiwan. The worst result is that he cancels his flights if he can't get the transit visa.
