About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Passport spoiled, have to redo but the Visa haven't expired, what should I do?

My maid had put my passport into washing machine causing it wet and spoiled. Immigration officer asked us to replace a new passport. But my entry permit to China still available until next year. What should I do? Can I still get back the Visa like previous? Or I need to reapply? How long the process will take and how about the charges fee? Thanks in advance.

Winnie, you haveto apply for a new one. The previous one cannot be used anymore. The application process takes four working days. The one-year multiple-entry one costs MYR 178.3.

Thank you very much Locker. Actually the passport just wet and the Visa is still good in one piece. Anyhow, have to replace. A bit wasted. Passport still have four years to go and the entry permit still have one more year. :(
