About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

what are the requirements to get a Chinese visa here in South Africa?

I'm a holder of Zimbabwean passport.

So what type you are applying for? In addition to the general required documents, you need to provide the original and photocopy of your residence or stay permit in South Africa. The application should be submitted to the CVASC office in Johannesburg.
