About:How to Take Shanghai Metro

Is there a subway pass in Shanghai that you can use for about 8 weeks instead of single tickets?

How much does that cost? Thanks

Yes, you can purchase a transportation card. With it, one can swipe it to get on subway trains, hence saving troubles from buying a ticket each time. It costs CNY20; and one needs to install at least CNY10 before using it. Also, it can be used on city buses and some taxis. Before leaving the city, the card can be refunded.
