About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

Can HK Airport express Single Journey pass be used after expiry of 3 days limit without top up?

Hi,
I will be staying in HK from Aug 24th to Aug 28th. I want to use the AE pass for unlimited travel between Aug 24 to Aug 27 (which would be 3 days). Now my departure from HK will be on the fourth day i.e. Aug 28th. Can I use the same AE Single journey ticket (remember I haven't used the card for any airport journey as yet) on 28th Aug, considering its the fourth day?

Also when we say card is valid for 3 days, what does it truely mean? A day ends at 12 midnight or if I swipe the card at 2 pm then 2 pm the next day will be counted as one day?

Airport Express Travel Pass is an Octopus Card with one airport express single journey(s) plus 3 consecutive days of unlimited travel on MTR. Only the MTR ride is valid 72 hours since your first use. After the 72 hours, the card will just function like a normal octopus card as long as you top up the card with money. Actually, the 3 day unlimited MTR rides is not really calculated by days, but by hours, that means that it is 72 hours valid.

Are you sure it is not calculated by Day ? Because the website says the contrary

No, it is not calculated by day. The 72h are started to be calculated from the first ride on MTR.
