About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am flying from San Diego to Beijing and then Seoul. Do I qualify for the 72 hour transit?

Is it okay for me to have a flight from San Diego to Bejing and then from Beijing to Seoul. Or do I need to find a flight from San Diego to Seoul with a stop over in Beijing in order to qualify? Thanks.

Jessica, the seperate flights are ok as long as your route is eligible. You qualify for the 72-hour free transit policy.

Hi Franklin,

For the flight to Beijing does it have to be direct or can it have a layover. Right now the flight has a layover in tokyo before arriving at Beiiing.

It doesn't matter if your flight stops by Tokyo. However, you have to make sure that both your flights won't stop by any other Chinese cities rather than Beijing.
