Is it possible to get him s1 visa?

What if I want my son to stay with me in china for a year but he is already 20 years old?

Vivien, I'm afraid he can't get the S1 type because he's elder than 18. Anyway, he can apply for the S2 type. When the allowed stay duration is used up, he needs to go out and apply for another S2.
