About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US - Manila - Beijing - Manila - US

I have a ticket from US to Manila, but would like to go from Manila to Beijing for 3 days, then go back to Manila for a few days, then back to the US. Can I avail of the 72-hour visa free transit? Or do I have to apply for a tourist entry permit for the 3 days in Beijing? Thanks.

Nicole, you have to apply fot a tourist type. The 72-hour free transit rule does not apply to you because your route is not eligible.
