Sandesh, first you should ask your employer to apply for the work permit from local labor bureau. The company should provide contract, business license and certificate of organization code. Fo you, you should provide your diploma, related working experience proofs, passport copy and filled application form for employment. It takes 5 to 15 working days.

After you get your work permit, then you should get the invitation letter from duly authorized Chinese unit. It is usually issued by local foreign affairs office. Your employer can help you get it. Then you need to bring the invitation letter and work permit to apply for the Z type from Chinese embassy in your country. It takes around 4 working days to process your application for Z type.

After you get your Z type, please come to China as soon as possible because it is only valid for 30 days. After your arrival, you should change your work permit into employement certificate and then go to local entry and exit management bureau to apply for temporary resident permit.
