I have round trip ticket from  new york to beijing with one airline (united). but within aprox 25 hours of landing, i have weekend round trip ticket out  beijing  to travel with other airline (elal ).weekend over i fly  back to beijing , am there there  for aprox 25 hours and fly back to new york  with original airline (united).

Josef, if you jus fly to any other Chinese city to have your weekend trip and then fly back to your country, then you are disqualified for 72 hours free transit. You should apply for a Chinese L type in advance before you go.
