About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Flying from HKG to DFW, transit at PVG, is it D-I or I-I transit? Do we need to recheck bags at PVG?

It’s an international to international transit.
Whether it is need to reclaim the luggages depends on the airlines. As I know, passengers with China Eastern Airline, Lufthansa, Swiss Air, Air New Zealand and Virgin Atlantic don't need to recheck the luggage. For passengers with other airlines, the procedure is needed. Anyway, it is still advisible to confirm this with your airline in advance.
