passport validity, enough for application?

I will be applying for a visa in this week to china, my stay will be for 2 month and my passport will expire on the 20/1/2016, do I need to renew passport?

As your passport is still valid for six months, you do not need to renew it.

thanks for your reply, I have another question, I am going with my boss to china, now do I need to have 6000$ in my bank account or I don't need it because I am going under my boss company name?

If you can provide a sponsor letter from your company, it's likely that the financial standing proof is not required.

Your boss can do it for you. In case that the consular officer thinks it's necessary to have an interview, you should be present at the embassy in person.
