Is it OK for type 11 diabetes prescription drugs in Japan and China?

My husband takes a varied amount of type 11 diabetes prescription drugs. We want to go to Japan and China for a 17 day escorted tour next year. Do we need anything special from our doctor? I have read what is prohibited but he will need more than 7 days of drugs since he has to take them twice daily. Do we need to get special permission?

Thomas, as long as you have medical certificate and prescription given by the doctor, you shouldn't have any problem to visit these two countries.
