If the kitchen is facing a temple is it really a bad fengshui?

I am currently into looking in buying a unit at the central area of Singapore. Unit is at a high floor. Unblcked at both front and end of the unit. However when i look out of a kitchen a temple is located there. though i do not feel uncomfortable with this, I wonder if there is anyway i can block out the 'negative' energy if i were to purchase it?

Sorry to tell you that the direction does have some influence. According to Chinese astrology concerning Fengshui, the temple near a unit or house may bring illness or death. Thereby, it is usually suggested not to buy a house near/ opposite a temple for your sake.

Thank you for your advise. I read an article on this Buddist/Monastery that is located behind the apartment. Please read below

Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery is the Lotus

Her neighbour, Kim Keat, is also the land of lotus flower. The lotus is actually the famous Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery, also known as Kuanyin sitting on lotus land.

The lotus flower belongs to the waterlily family. When on the land of lotus flower, if tou are upright and honest or strive to be a person of great worth you will benefit from its good feng shui. As for the unscrupulous, they will make a name for themselves but of an infamous nature.

It is also very beneficial for those who are very pious, many of whom will have their wishes answered. Though centrally located, Tao Payoh is rather peaceful and its air very fresh, so you can seek peace in this bustling town or cultivate yourself.

But those with evil thoughts and who abuse religion for their personal interests are urged to stop before it is too late. As the lotus land is blessed. it is visited by both deities and devils, who cultivate themselves there. Those with weak determination or evil thoughts can be lured into performing perverse deeds. As long as you are contented and honest, you will be protected by deities. Also, the god of prosperity here likes to bestow wealth on the blessed. Moreover, in this area is a Seng Ong temple. The Seng Ong and Peh Kong deities share power over the distribution of wealth. As such, the upright will definitely enjoy good fortune.

Please advise on comment

Many thanks

The article may make sense and it tries to attract more people. But usually all monasteries/temples can be divided into three types: monasteries with monks/men, nunneries with nuns/women and temples where gods, Buddhas and deities are worshiped with few people living in. Chinese astrology has Yin and Yang. Females represents Yin and males represents Yang, so living in the former two types monasteries, the Yin or Yang is too much. This is bad for the reproduction of a family living nearby. For the third category, as no people or few people live these, there are many deities and devils as you mentioned. The surroundings would become not harmonious. People living nearby may easily get sick and be unable to control their temper Some people even say that the fortune of career and finance may be influenced. So make up your mind by checking more!
