About:China Work Visa

Do I need my BA in hand to apply for a Z work visa?

I recently graduated from a four year college and was offered a teaching job in China. I graduated with a BA, but have not received it in the mail. I am supposed to leave at the end of August. In the event that I don't receive my BA in time, can it sent once I'm overseas? I've read that I am not able to use transcripts.

Nick, if you plan to work in PRC, you should acquire the work permit. Your diploma and related working experiences are required for obtaining the work permit, according to my knowledge. If you are recruited already, then you might ask your employer what documents you should prepare for applying the work permit. He/she should know clearly if he/she recruits foreigners before.
