About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I am on a cruise to Japan and China, we stop in Shanghi for less that 12 hrs. do I need a visa?

Jan, as long as you total stay in mainland China is not loner than 24 hours, you don't need the entry permit.
