About:Fenghuang Ancient Town

Coming from Changsha - first go to Zhangjiajie Scenic Area or first go to Fenghuang?

Hello,
I am arriving in the next days to Changsha and would like to visit Zhangjiajie and the ancient city. Is it better to go first to Zhangjiajie (2 days) or to the town?? And is it better to go by train or by bus?
At the end I would like to go to Nanning, Guangxi. How to go best??

Personally, it is suggested to follow this route to travel: Changsha - FH Ancient Town - Zhangjiajie - Nanning

From Changsha to the town, you can take a direct bus at the West Bus Station or Changzhutan Bus Station to reach directly.

To Zhangjiajie, you can easily take a bus at the Long-distance Bus Station in the town. Buses are scheduled at 09：00, 10：00, 12：00 , 14：00 and 15：00. It takes around 3.5 hours.

To Nanning, there is direct train from Zhangjiajie, but it takes almost 15 hours. To save time, you can take a direct bus to Changsha first in around 4 hours. Then fly to Nanning. By the way, high speed trains between Changsha and Nanning takes around 6 hours.
