Also, if i reach forbidden city around 2 pm or so, will i get tickets as a foreigner ?

Generally speaking, you can get a ticket at around 14:00. And one day is enough to visit these two big scenic areas. But time is a little tight, especially when travling by public transport. Do set up early that day.
