About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I avail of the 72 hr visa free transit when arriving in Shanghai?

Im a US citizen, traveling from Manila to Shanghai/pudong international airport, then to USA/LAX . I will be staying in a hotel near the airport,then leave for Los Angeles within 72 hours.

My flight from Shanghai to Los Angeles will be thru Asiana Airlines and there will be a stop over/ change plane at ICN Seoul, South Korea for 3 hrs 20min before proceeding to LAX/ Los Angeles. Can I still be eligible for the 72 hour free transit? Thanks..
