Can I enter Shanghai with less than 6 months validity on my passport?

I am travelling from Seoul to Shanghai for 4 days and then Shanghai back to Seoul with a Singapore passport that has only 2 months validity left. Will I be able to enter and leave Shanghai? I will be getting my new passport after I return to Singapore.

Lin, the six months validity is only required when applying. As to whether it is required for entering China, there are contradictory sayings on the internet. You are advised to directly contact the Shanghai Immigration Officer for confirmation. The number is +86-021-31366000.
