Question

HiI also taking the steps to marry a chinese woman and find the blog very usefull. Im pretty far with the papers I only have one question. When I go to China to marry my girlfriend. I go there on tourist type witch is valid for 30 days. In these days I have to arrange to get married. My girlfriend has a own apartment and I can live there. When i'm married there. is it then also so that they will chnage my entry permit and get a spouse type with a vadility for a year . I don't find this info anywhere and I don't have the  need to go back after 30 days on my tourist type. I see it that you are married they will also change yours so that you can stay. or see i this  wrong ?

Peter, you have to apply for the Q type after you get married. They won't change your L to Q. Since you just hold 30 days L type, I am afraid that you may not be able to change your L into Q at local entry and exit management bureau. I think that you will be required to get back to your country to apply for the Q type.
