About:Changchun

Required documents for the Chinese VISA.

I am from Bangladesh, currently pursuing my master degree in University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Recently one of my research paper is accepted in a conference which will be held in Nanjing, China (mid of July). I want to apply for my entryp permit as soon as possible. I have the scan copy of Invitation letter from the conference, Student proof & valid Malaysia stay permit.

May I know what else should I need to submit during my application & normally how long they will take to issue it? Thanks.

Rifat, you should additionally submit a photocopy of your passport and a completely filled application form affixed with your recent half-length photo. It is possible that you may be required to provide an invitation letter from Duly Authorized Unit, but if the officer does not menthion this document, you don't need to submit it.

You'll need to wait for four working days to get the entry permit. If you want it faster, you can apply for express or urgent service.

Thanks for your kind cooperation. What does mean by duly authorized invitation letter & who will issue this letter? Is it the original copy (not scanned copy) of invitation letter with signature issued by the conference organizer? Thanks.

Rifat, the invitation letter from duly authorized unit is different from that one issued by the conference organizer. The former one is often issued by a provincial foreign affairs office in China.
