Will it be possible for me to extend the duration of my X2 visa in Beijing?

I applied for an X2 type and I wrote down on my application that I would only be in China for 30 days (the duration of my program). However, I just realized that I will need to arrive a few days before the program and leave a few days after it, which makes my stay around 36 days.
