About:Summer Palace

Summer Palace: Secure bag area, and taxi to airport

Hello,
Can I take a taxi from the Palace directly to the airport?
What should this cost?
How long should it take?
Is there somewhere secure to leave a suitcase while I am there?

Well, there is no luggage storage counter inside the scenic spot. But there is a private storage window near the front gate of the site. If you decide to store your luggage there, remember do not leave valuable stuff there.

Another problem is that most visitors enter and exit from different gates of the palace. If you go back to the original gate, it will be a detour.

And of course you can take a taxi to get to the airport directly.
The cab fare is CNY 120 to 130 in the day time.
It takes around 40 to 50 mins on the way.

I just know there are some private ones for luggage-left near North Palace Gate (Beigongmen) and East Gate.
