Hey Jessica!

1. Hong Kong entry permit is not required for British nationals if the stay is not more than 180 days.

2. The mainland entry permit is required. If the visitor is going to mainland China for sightseeing purposes, the following documents may be needed: a valid passport, a photocopy of the passport's data page, a filled-out application form attached with the applicant's recent photo, the original and photocopy of the applcant's UAE residence permit, and round-trip tickets and hotel reservations for the upcoming trip.

3. It normally takes four working days for the entry permit to be processed.
